To
see a wallpaper click on the resolution that matches your computer
monitor. The files are .bmp files so they will match the existing
wallpapers on your computer - there is no need to change the
file type.
Wallpapers are free for personal use. For more information see

There
are a variety of ways to set a photo as your desktop background,
but here are the most common ways:
PC
USERS (Win 98 | XP) >>
Step
1:
Determine
the correct size picture to download - right click with your
mouse anywhere on the desktop where there are no folders or
icons. CHOOSE PROPERTIES then click on the SETTINGS TAB. Note
the screen resolution for later.
Step
2: On this page click on the resolution that matches your SETTINGS
TAB. The photo that will open on the next page is incredibly
big by internet standards and will take some time to load even
if you have broadband. Wait for it to load fully.
Step
3: Right Click on the photo and choose SAVE AS or SET AS BACKGROUND
SAVE AS: will ask you where you want to put the file on your
computer. This is the recommended way to do this since it will
allow the choice to be available now and in the future.
Save
it to your desktop and then move it to the folder where it belongs.
The final destination is in the WINDOWS folder that is on the
C Drive on your computer. C:\WINDOWS This will allow you to
select it in the Properties box from your desktop.
Once
the file is in the WINDOWS folder, right click in the desktop
anywhere where there are no folders or icons. Choose PROPERTIES
then DESKTOP. This will present a list of wallpapers that are
stored on your computer. Find the one that matches your downloaded
wallpaper and say OK - you should now see the wallpaper on your
desktop.
SET
AS BACKGROUND: Right click on the photo and choose Set As Background.
This is easier, but it only stores temporarily and is subject
to disappearing.
MAC
USERS (OS 8.5):
Click on the thumbnail of the image you want for your desktop.
Once it has finished loading, click on the image with your mouse
button and scroll down to "Save this Image As" in
the menu.
Save it to your hard drive or your desktop.
Next, go to your Apple menu in the upper left corner, scroll
down to "Control Panels" and choose "Appearance".
Click on the "Desktop" tab. Click the "Place
Picture.." button on the lower right and select the location
where you saved your desktop image and press "Choose."
Then, press the "Set Desktop" button in the Appearance
menu.
Your image will appear on your desktop. (Note: on Mac OS 8.1,
choose "Desktop Patterns" from the control panels
instead of "Appearance").
