A
Champagne Flight with Hunterdon Ballooning, Inc. will
be one of the most exciting and memorable experiences
you will ever have. All your senses will be subject
to “sensory overload”!
From
the time you arrive you will have the opportunity to
be part of the entire experience. We invite all of our
passengers, as well as their friends and family, to
be part of our team. You have the choice of either stepping
back and simply watching the entire process of preparing
the hot air balloon for inflation and flight, or you
can jump right in and be part of the action. Our seasoned
and experienced professional ground support team will
gladly be your guide and show you what to do. Regardless
of whether or not you choose to be part of the setup
and inflation, all of our passengers will be given a
thorough pre-flight safety briefing before the flight.
Listen carefully to this very important information.
We always encourage you to ask any questions you may
have at any time.
The
inflation is one of the busier and more exciting parts
of the process. A lot is going on while the balloon
is first “cold-inflated” with fans and later
“hot-inflated” with the burners to an upright
standing position.
As
you gently ascend from the ground, your visual perspective
changes dramatically. Your ever-familiar ground based
perspective gently transforms into an airborne one.
The trees and buildings that surrounded you just a few
minutes ago are now below you! All of a sudden you are
in another world as you commence to take a nature walk
in the sky. Take the time to absorb it all. The colors,
the sounds, the smells, and of course – the spectacular
sights and views. Be sure to be prepared with a camera
and plenty of film for your aerial voyage. If you are
bringing family or friends to be part of your ballooning
experience, they will be following you on the ground
along with our ground support team. Be sure they have
a camera to take pictures of your flight from the ground.
As
your flight comes to a close, your pilot will brief
you on the landing. Listen to and follow the instructions
as instructed. After landing, the ground support team
will begin the process of assisting the pilot in deflating
and packing the balloon and equipment. We will gladly
ask you once again to be part of the team.
After
all the equipment is secured and packed, all the vehicles
will return to the original launch site. Now it’s
time to celebrate your aerial adventure with a traditional
toast of champagne. Your entire party will be part of
the toast as well. Non-alcoholic beverages, soft drinks
and snacks will be available to everyone.
Whether
this is your first hot air balloon flight, or you are
a seasoned veteran balloon passenger and enthusiast,
no two flights are identical. The flight path, weather,
surroundings and sights are always different.
Enjoy
every minute of this experience. It will forever be
one of the most memorable and exciting events in your
life!
